During the first half of 2026, Universidad del Norte continued to strengthen its commitment to expanding access to and retention in higher education for talented young people from Colombia’s Caribbean region who face financial barriers.
This period has been especially meaningful for our institution as we celebrate 60 years of academic excellence, social transformation, and commitment to the development of the Caribbean region. In this context, the support received through GlobalGiving reaffirms the value of solidarity-based partnerships and the trust of people who believe in education as a powerful tool for transforming lives.
Donor contributions have strengthened our scholarship and student-support programs, including initiatives such as Orgullo Caribe Egresados and Líderes Globales. These resources help provide scholarships and living-expense assistance while promoting academic retention, comprehensive well-being, leadership development, and the professional growth of participating students.
Every contribution creates a tangible opportunity for young people to continue their studies with greater stability and confidence, fully develop their academic and personal potential, and build life projects with stronger prospects. The impact of this support also extends beyond the campus, strengthening students’ ability to contribute to the well-being of their families, communities, and local territories.
We deeply thank every person who has chosen to support this cause through GlobalGiving. Your generosity not only helps talented students continue their education, but also contributes to building a Colombian Caribbean region with greater opportunity, stronger leadership, and lasting social development.
