Support sexual violence survivor-activists
By Valeria Babara | Project officer
The collection of funds for a training-of-trainers on better understanding all forms of sexual violence and using this knowledge in advocacy efforts is ongoing.
In the meantime, a toolkit with flyers, frequently asked questions, case studies, calls to action, and an advocacy guide, is available in English, Spanish, Arabic, French, Georgian and Russian on www.thehagueprinciples.org. The Hague Principles on Sexual Violence and a selection of tools are also available in Ukrainian and we are in discussion with partners for the implementation of the documents in Brazil and with North Korean survivors of sexual violence. A training on sexual and gender based violence featuring content from The Hague Principles is underway with the NGO Korea Future.
Consulting and using these tools will help enhance the activists' understanding of the broader issue of sexual violence and will help improve their advocacy with policy and decision-makers so more efficient laws, policies and practices can be developed to address sexual violence in the long-term.

Recently, The Hague Principles on Sexual Violence were part of an exhibition at the International PSVI (Preventing Sexual Violence in Conflict Initiative) Conference in London, where survivors and practitioners working to address sexual violence could familiarise themselves with the guidelines and advocacy tools.
