Halimo recently underwent a successful salpingo-oophorectomy—a surgical procedure in which one or both fallopian tubes (salpingectomy) and one or both ovaries (oophorectomy) are removed.
This operation is commonly performed to treat serious medical conditions such as ovarian cysts, ectopic pregnancy, endometriosis, infections, or cancer affecting the reproductive organs.
In Halimo’s case, the procedure was carried out completely free of charge, sparing her the significant financial burden such a surgery often entails.
Grateful and relieved, Halimo expressed heartfelt thanks to the skilled doctors who performed the operation, as well as to Gift of the Givers, whose assistance made the surgery possible and ensured all her needs were met during her hospital stay.
This life-changing intervention is part of Gift of the Givers’ ongoing mission to provide free medical care for vulnerable individuals who cannot afford essential hospital or surgical services.
With the number of people in need steadily rising, such initiatives are more crucial than ever—bringing hope, restoring health, and changing lives.
