Transforming Lives in the Benin Heart: Together, Let's Support African Kids to Build a Better Future

By Camille B. SODJI | Project Leader

Introduction

In the isolated villages of the Couffo department, in southwestern Benin, thousands of women and children live in extreme precariousness. The lack of access to education, balanced nutrition, healthcare, and even a simple legal identity severely compromises their future.

Yet, sometimes it takes very little to bring about decisive change:

-  A warm meal.

-  A school kit.

-  A birth certificate.

Thanks to your generosity, over 13,000 schoolchildren have already benefited from our program. But beyond these numbers, it's human lives that are changing, dreams that are being reborn.

Today, we need you to go further.

Our Vision

Our organization has launched an integrated program in the most disadvantaged rural areas, combining nutrition, education, and legal recognition for children.

Our vision is simple yet powerful: To create a virtuous cycle where every child learns, eats their fill, and dreams.

Our Concrete Priorities

  1. Fight hunger and child malnutrition through locally managed school canteens.
  2. Promote the education of girls, who are too often marginalized, excluded, or married off too young.
  3. Register undeclared children, to guarantee them a dignified future recognized by the state.

Already Transformative Results

-  10,500 children now receive a warm meal every day.

-  School attendance rates exceed 98% in our partner schools.

-  Cases of acute malnutrition have drastically decreased.

-  Girls' schooling is visibly progressing.

But beyond the data, there are lives profoundly changed:

"My daughter wants to become a teacher. She eats every day and is no longer afraid to go to school." — A mother from Kpodaha.

What you give is not just a meal or a notebook. It's a life that shifts from despair to hope. It's a little girl who believes in her future.

An Urgent Challenge: 1,700 Children Without Identity

In our intervention areas, over 1,700 children do not have a birth certificate. They are legally non-existent.

Without papers, they do not have the right to take school exams or even the right to be protected. Girls, in particular, are the first victims: forced into marriage, exploited, invisible.

We can change this. But we need you.

What Your Donations Are Used For

Your contributions help fund:

- Mobile birth registration campaigns in isolated villages.

- The extension of the canteen program to other needy schools.

- The distribution of complete school kits, with priority given to vulnerable girls.

- Rigorous impact monitoring to ensure transparency and effectiveness.

Why Your Donations Change Lives

- Every donation is a seed of hope.

- Every contribution supports a girl who dreams of studying.

- Every act of solidarity builds a more just world. What you give today creates a real and lasting impact.

Call to Action: Act Now

The need is great, but together, we have the power to transform reality.

Make a donation today.

Invite others to get involved.

Become an agent of change that amplifies the forgotten voices of women and children.

Your support can illuminate the most forgotten villages. Give to rekindle hope. Give to change lives.

With Gratitude

To all those who commit to our side, we say thank you.

Thank you for your trust, your humanity, and your commitment.

Together, let's make Couffo an example of transformation.

Thank you for your generosity.
