Sofia was only 9 years old, but her dreams were as big as the universe. While most children her age talked about toys or birthdays, she spoke about rockets, planets, and astronauts. Her greatest wish was simple yet profound:
“I want to see the stars, close, like an astronaut.”
Cancer had stolen many things from her—playtime, school days, the chance to grow up without hospitals. But it never stole her imagination. From her bed, she would draw rockets and tell her family about the galaxies she wanted to visit one day.
Thanks to the kindness of donors like you, we were able to make her dream come true. We bought her a telescope, and one special night, she finally pointed it at the sky. With wide eyes and a trembling smile, she whispered:
“They’re so beautiful… even more than I imagined.”
In that moment, her hospital room became a spaceship, and her spirit traveled farther than her illness ever could.
Solfa has since left us, but her dream lives on. That telescope gave her joy, dignity, and a memory of light in the darkest of times.
Your support made this possible. And with your continued generosity, we can bring hope and last dreams to many more children like Solfa.
Every donation is more than money—it is a universe of hope. Please, help us make more dreams come true.
