Abortion is one among the silent killers in DRC and this affects particularly women: Save the life of one women in DRCongo now
In the Democratic Republic of Congo most of the attention is focused on war, and nothing at all is being oriented towards the victims of unsafe abortion. Not many are looking at what happened to women victims of unwanted pregnancies, women who are involved in survival sex, women who are raped and carry babies they did not plan for or even being prepared to get, women who are victims of early marriages, women who get pregnant on the run, women who sexually abused and women who in commercial sex among others.
Women continue to die in total silence when they try to terminate the pregnancy and when they develop complications during the pregnancy in areas where there is no Health Center and if there is one it has no health workers, no medicine and no equipment.
Let us work together and save a life of woman in the Democratic Republic of Congo, through information sharing, through women accessing information about unsafe abortion, through mitigating cultural beliefs, through ending stigmatization and restoring the lives of the victims, we can make a difference.
