On December 9th, Freely in Hope hosted a momentous graduation ceremony at our office, marking the completion of the Malkia women’s nine-month training program. Approximately 40 individuals joined us to commemorate this significant occasion as we honored the achievement of the Malkia graduates who completed this transformative program. Sarafina, our Program Coordinator, illuminated the journey, sharing poignant transformation stories encapsulating both the challenges and triumphs faced by these remarkable women.
During the celebration, one extraordinary Malkia woman was lauded for her entrepreneurial spirit, having established her own nail parlor, a testament to her dedication and resourcefulness nurtured during the program. Additionally, two Malkia women courageously shared their personal healing journeys since joining the initiative.
Nine remarkable women proudly graduated from the program, each receiving participation and completion certificates. Their journey equipped them with diverse skills in soap making, laundry softner crafting, beadwork, yogurt production, alongside vital life skills training, group counseling, and personalized counseling sessions.
The ceremony culminated in a heartfelt group photo session capturing the joyous moment of accomplishment. To spread the holiday cheer, we distributed Christmas food baskets, extending the celebration beyond the ceremony and into their homes.
This graduation signifies not only an educational milestone but also the beginning of a new chapter for these empowered women, equipped with skills, knowledge, and renewed confidence to forge their paths forward. Thank you for your generosity that made this possible!
