Blue Cross Romnia has been able to host a family with 6 children and parents to their empty building. They had experienced the traumatic bombings of their old home and had to leave their home in order to give safety and opportunity for life and future for their children. When you have 6 children you need 6 tooth brushes, 6 beds, 6 of everything and food for the whole family of 8. In your home town you have the social network, family and knowledge of how to get by but when you loose all this it is very hard start to setting up a new life as a family.
With this settled location and space to live as a family they can slowly work through their traumatic experiences and memories and recover to become active helpers amongst the refugee community. BC Romania is providing on going resettlement support for the family and enabling their integration to the local community. Children have now a safe place to continue their schooling and friends to build their realtionships and time to play and find the joy of life despite the sudden pulling out of their familiar neighbourhood. With the donations we have been able to support them to get accommodation, basics to get by and food and hygiene products, clothes and school equipment for the children to continue their studies.
Your support makes work like this possible and gives families and children opportunity to find new hope for their life!
