This summer there was special emphasis on youth. With the organisational expertise BC Poland provided support in integration and behavioral addiction prevention to children and youth from Ukrainian refugees families.
Families suffering from the consequences of war and displacement receive support in form of organized activities for children during summer holidays
Summer day-camps were organized during holidays when schools are closed,
- Children are taken care of, spend valuable time, get to know Polish culture and language.
BC Poland held 2x10 day-camps
- Sport activities (swimming pool, outdoor games, badminton, table football, table tennis, etc)
- Craft activities,
- Prevention of behavioral addictions,
- Polish language classes
- Visiting local places of interest (open-air museum, bison farm, palace, palace),
- Providing meals,
- Providing care.
Participants of the program increased their capabilities to better adapt in new circumstances, deal with challenges related to change of the environment, having to function in different culture and language.
BC Poland enabled participation in activities during which children and youth acquire skills and knowledge to build self- confidence
- BC Poland staff with behavioural addiction treatment expertise are very skilled to implement summer day-camps in Pszczyna Poland. This support benefits early detection and brief intervention on problems.
Families of the participants attend a follow-up integration meeting at the end of holidays
BC Poland prepares and ran an integrational afternoon event for families in order to ensure that parents know that there is support available in order to prevent problems.
