I am Rena .
I am the lead instructor at one of our oldest women’s sewing centre at Piani. I wanted to share with you just how many girls and women we have helped during the last few years since the centre opened.
Over 250 !
Once the girls and women graduated from us they have chance for loan free interest for sewing machine. Over 227 took that loan. The other ones moved away from the area
They are from surrounding villages also; every single machine has put money for the women in their own hands for the first time.
Because even women who have completed their training are welcome and our part of the community many return to the centre for companionship and mutual support because together we are strong.

Friendship support, laughter , a safe place for us to meet and talk our entre is so much more than a training centre , it is an empowering heart of the women’s community for many kilometres around .
