I am Madhu a community worker here at People First.

Thank you for your support for these women and past reports have told many stories from the women themselves about the many benefits of the sewing centres both individually and for the community.
We currently have three sewing centres each for 35 women and since we had the programme over 1500 women have joined our centres and benefitted as you know so much from them, not only from the village but the surrounding villages as well.
We are launching a special appeal where if you or your friends or work colleagues, or perhaps from a fund-raising event, can donate $151 for a sewing machine you can receive a personal letter of thanks from the women at the centre. If you donate this exact amount, we will buy a new machine in your name. Each machine lasts ten years and we can train over 1000 women over that period on that machine.
It costs $3,600 to equip and run a whole centre we have villages waiting for such a wonderful opportunity, donors who provide these funds can name a centre.
But I want to thank you all for your past generosity and kindness and wish you all the very best for the festive season .
You have really helped these women in thier everyday lives so much
