Hi!!
My name is Diya and I am a member of our village sewing centre.
I wanted to tell you all how much the centre means to all of us women here in the village. It is much more than training. Of course the training is important but what I really like is we now have a very special place where we can all meet together and support each other.
Even the women who have completed their training and have taken an interest free loan to buy their own machine at home come and join the group for support and strength. Alone we are alone, we are restricted by our families and village culture in our movements and life so this group is so important us.
We are beginning to understand if we unite together we can be a force for good and we get support from People First to understand we are no longer powerless.
Together we are changing things for the better.
