"The Transformative Power of Love and Understanding: Xiao Lin's Journey"
When Xiao Lin (name anonymized for privacy) first came to the foundation, her limited verbal communication skills made it difficult for her to express her needs and emotions. During her initial adjustment period, she often resorted to crying and tantrums to communicate. When her mother wasn’t by her side, Xiao Lin’s emotional behaviors, including throwing objects and crying loudly, left her mother deeply troubled and saddened.
During this time, we worked closely with Xiao Lin’s mother, accompanying her on the journey to understand Xiao Lin’s inner world. We discovered that Xiao Lin is a deeply caring child. She worries about her mother getting wet in the rain without an umbrella and wonders if her mother is eating well . Yet, she struggled to express these concerns in words.
Through continuous companionship and understanding, Xiao Lin began to change. She learned to respond calmly to simple phrases and even started asking her mother, “Do you love me?” She also found the courage to say, “I love you.” Behind these simple words lies Xiao Lin’s profound love for her mother, as well as her gratitude and appreciation.
We firmly believe that love and understanding are incredibly powerful forces. No matter the challenges we face, when we choose to approach them with empathy and acceptance, life becomes filled with warmth and hope.
