Xiao-Ling (pseudonym) is a lively girl who loves making friends. After completing her placement at a children’s home, she joined the Children Are Us Foundation’s #CommunityHome.
Xiao-Ling adapted quickly to group life. Beyond helping her peers and staff with daily tasks, she also learned, with the support of a social worker, to take public transportation on her own—traveling independently to and from destinations.
This is a huge achievement for Xiao-Ling! She is no longer limited by dependence on others, and this experience has greatly fostered her confidence and independence.
The Children Are Us Community Home offers diverse services, aiming to help every individual with disabilities learn independent living skills through residential training.
