By Children Are Us Foundation | Cheer

At the beginning of the year, a volunteer brother from France visited the workshop every Thursday. He sang, danced, and spent time with the children, using his warm smile to bridge the gap of language and culture.
Among all the children, no one was happier than A-Xun.
Although expressing himself is not his strength, A-Xun always tried his best to share the things he loves—using photos, videos, simple words, and gestures to communicate with the volunteer brother. They played board games together, took photos together, and every Thursday afternoon became the moment A-Xun looked forward to the most.
But time always seems to pass quickly. The volunteer brother was preparing to return to France.
Though reluctant, A-Xun tried hard to understand the distance between Taiwan and France, and he devoted himself to preparing his own way of saying goodbye.
The workshop held a special farewell gathering to thank the volunteer brother for his six months of selfless companionship. A-Xun prepared a handmade card filled with memories of their time together, sending his most heartfelt blessings to the brother he cherished the most.
