In honor of International Women’s Day 2026, IsraAID celebrated the women leading change in their communities and across the world. From health professionals and water engineers to community organizers and mothers, women are at the forefront of humanitarian action - responding to emergencies, strengthening essential systems, and helping communities in crisis recover and rebuild.
In Colombia, where the challenges of displacement and climate-related emergencies continue to shape the daily lives of many, Guiselle is at the center of this work. A dedicated Program Facilitator for IsraAID Colombia, she embodies what it means to be #LeadingChange. Her work strengthens the social connections that help communities navigate times of crisis, preparing them to recognize their own strengths, build local leadership, and work together to face future emergencies. In every response, Guiselle helps ensure that communities are not just receiving support, but are actively shaping the solutions that affect their lives.
As Colombia continues to navigate a complex landscape of migration and climate vulnerability, IsraAID is investing in leaders like Guiselle. This ensures that the people closest to these challenges are the ones leading the way, creating a path to resilience that belongs to the community and lasts long into the future.
