Thank you for advocating for the overall wellness of underserved youths. Your donation has contributed to our goal of raising awareness on the importance of emotional and mental well-being among young people. With your help, we are able to continue our work and activities that provide psycho-emotional support to our clients.
Speaking up to heal old wounds
Agnes, 17, has the tendency to think of suicidal thoughts. She has been battling eczema since young and her skin condition has affected her confidence and mood from time to time.
It wasn’t until she joined Chrysalis, that she learned how to deal with her thoughts and emotions. Chrysalis is Trybe’s outreach and intervention service for young people like Agnes, who have at-risk behaviours and possibly mental health issues. Meeting with Agnes regularly, her caseworker connected with her on a personal level, which subsequently led to a safe and open communication. For a stronger network of support, Chrysalis also engaged Agnes’ family and conducted intentional activities. This inspired her family to step up and reach out to her more. Soon, a safety plan was set in place for Agnes’ suicidal ideation.

It takes a village to make a significant change in young people’s lives. It takes at least one pro-social adult to step up, listen to them, and journey with them as they speak up and share their stories behind their at-risk behaviour.
Thank YOU for stepping up and supporting our cause. Do continue to support our other initiatives so that we can make Every Youth a Success Story a reality.
