Welcome to spring! (Or fall/winter, if you’re in Argentina.) We’ve been making great strides over the past few months and wanted to share a quick update on what’s been happening at Nuestras Huellas.
Highlights of March, April, and May 2025
We currently support 63 active community banks, and 464 total participants in our microfinance program. Of those, three are newly formed over the past few months.
Join us in welcoming the new banks:
Each community bank fosters belonging, shared decision-making, and strong social ties, counteracting isolation and building confidence. Members of each community bank co-create knowledge in areas like savings, budgeting, entrepreneurship, digital literacy, and leadership. This empowers them to plan long-term, avoid predatory lenders, and make financial decisions from a place of autonomy instead of survival.
Strengthening our skills
We run financial training sessions for others, but we also care about educating ourselves as professionals so we can better serve our communities. At our last in-person meeting, our team participated in a training on tools for teamwork and supporting the entrepreneurial community: empathy, responsibility, and active listening.
It was a beautiful gathering full of hard work, connection, and joy.
We love what we do.
We collaborated with the University of Buenos Aires School of Economics and the Professional Counsel of Economics in Buenos Aires to provide opportunities for real-world experience
This month, we introduced Nuestras Huellas to students at the UBA School of Economics so that students can gain real-world experience solving relevant problems. Together with the School of Economics and the Professional Counsel of Economics of the city of Buenos Aires, we’ve presented our work in the “professional practices” course as part of the Administration degree.
We’re proud to be able to share our work with students of economics at the University of Buenos Aires.
Entrepreneur spotlight: Susana
Susana, what would you want to tell Nuestras Huellas?
Thank you. Thank you for opening that door for women because the truth is that it’s so important.
Nuestras Huellas helped me with everything. With everything because I achieved so many things. So many, with the help of Nuestras Huellas.
What would you say to other women entrepreneurs?
Go for it, go for it, join in, and when this opportunity comes your way, take it—because it will be a great blessing and open a door for you.
What does Nuestras Huellas mean to you?For me, it means growth, maturity, and simply feeling important. Important, and knowing that we can do it, that we as women can step forward.
