Mali new academic year 2017- 2018 started in October and similar to other children in Mali, ACFA’s children were able to go back to school because of you and your support!!! Thank you.

We have 2 children in middle school this year and they, as well as the other ACFA children are doing well. We had support from both US and Mali in preparation for the school year. Support included both monetary and in-kind donations of school material, such as backpacks, books, notebooks, etc…

Our children continue to strive in sports: after a challenging competition, all our taekwondo participants re-qualified for their participation in the national team training for 2018. Basketball players also won several competitions and ranked 2nd in their most recent one. Diakassan was selected to participate in a tournament in the 3rd region of Mali and won silver medal ranking 2nd in the competition.

Unfortunately, the month of October was challenging with regards to health care with a few cases of malaria. Your support is much appreciated to help us continue the preventative courses of malaria and other health concerns.

We are closing 2017 with much gratitude for your continue support and we whish you a very happy holiday season spent with friends and family.
