Greetings from Bamako

Children in Bamako spent Christmas 2017 in Zorokoro, where they enjoyed the large playground available to them. They enjoyed it so much they did not want to go back to Badalabougou!

After Christmas, the children started the New Year with great comfort. In January, CEO, Kadiatou Sidibe visited Bamako to assess operations and children’s progress. A pleasant way to start the new year having experience how the children are thriving each and every day in school as well as in their sport activities. They performed a spectacular musical theatrical act, and were praised by all those who attended.

Then during the same month, ACFA-Mali received in-kind donations in the form of food and valued at $120, and toys valued at $169. Additionally, to enhance children’s learning environment, each child was issued a new chair and they collectively shared 3 brand new tables.

Children did superbly well in the first semester of the academic year 2018 with 83% of them performing well above average in their respective classes.

In sport, 3 of our children were pre-selected to participate in international Taekwondo tournament in Algeria and fencing tournament in Nigeria.

We thank you so much for your continue support which is what allows us to continue to suport the vulnerable children of Mali.
