This quarter, ACFA’s children excelled at all their activities. Fencing classes resumed and our children ranked high in their respective competitions.
Our staff training is bearing fruits: we’ve seen a 180 degrees positive change in not just the staff support but also in the children’s responsiveness to new methods. In April our staff participated in an AIDS, other sexually transmitted diseases, and reproductive health care. This effort supports our expansion of this awareness as our children are now entering adolescence phase.
With the increase in temperatures in Bamako, we’ve experienced more medical challenges this quarter than we usually do, but all of the children health care fees have been covered thanks to your support.
In Taekwondo, our children were chosen to participate in a special Korean competition and are now training for this major event. As for those practicing fencing, they represented their school at a school tournament and earned 1st and 2nd ranks for their schools.
Finally, this quarter, we reached out to organizations such as Association au developpmet des activites de population, and Population Services International, to establish partnerships in order to synergize efforts in support of vulnerable children of Mali.
We thank you for your support without which we could not achieve our mission of brining hope to Mali’s vulnerable children.
