Support Mali's Vulnerable Children

Just like you, we continue to go through the COVID-19 rollercoaster, and we hope that this report finds you and your loved ones doing well.  We all need good news these days! And we have a couple for you:  your ACFA School has opened in Mali, and ACFA secured safety for 2 other children!

 Indeed, on 13 Nov 2020 ACFA School opened in Zorokoro, to our own children and those of surrounding villages.  We are overwhelmed with the multiple requests from parents.  Your assistance is now more than needed: you see, there are no other kindergarten opportunities in the area, and of course parents want the best for their children! Our older children, whose vocational training was tailoring, sewed uniforms for the new younger students attending ACFA School.   

 Additionally, we are pleased to announce that all of ACFA students, who were candidate to the Mali high school entrance national exam, DEF, have passed. We now have 5 children in high school, 2 of which are now candidate to the Baccalaureate, end of high school national exam.  

 ACFA is pleased announce 2 new arrivals: Yacouba and Coumba joined ACFA on 17 Dec 2020 and 28 Jan 2021 respectively.  They are both doing well, have adjusted to their new home and family and have started school. 

 In sport, numerous medals were won this past quarter: Diakassan, Bassan, Billy, and Kadiatou won several gold, silver and bronze medals.  Additionally, Diakassan won 2 gold medals, and earned her title of Mali Champion in Fencing for the second year in a row.  

 The children came together at Zorokoro to celebrate New Year in their own safe and secure environment.  For some of our kids this was their first time to receive gifts at the end of the year.
