Project Report | Feb 24, 2014
2nd semester report

Our harvested crop
Our harvested crop

Our harvest has been completed and we made a better harvest than last year: we collected 1.2 tons of corn and 50Kg of beans for the children consumption. Additionally, Zorokoro project is moving along: the fence is now completed and we are in the process of installing doors to the fence. We need funding to finish the first dorm after the fence is completed: the completion will consist of the toilettes and piping installation. The children will be ready to move into their new home this summer. Since the beginning of the academic year in October, out of 3 reporting period, one of our little girls, Diakassan, ranked twice first in her class of 44, with a GPA of over 8 out of 10 both times. Additionally, Adama and Lassine have commenced the skill building with tailoring classes. Finally, in the sport arena, 3 of our children, Diakassan, Koro, and Assan, are retained to participate in Bamako’s regional competition. The year was ended with a visit to Bamako by one of our board of directors, Alpha, who spent Christmas and New Year with the children in Bamako. Please donate today and help us ensure that our work continues and that the vulnerable children of Mali are afforded the holistic program that ACFA offers them. Thank you for supporting our efforts towards attaining our vision.
