ACFA’s children’s summer activities continue to keep them challenged and engaged. School starts next month, but summer has been hot and lots of learning on the vocational training front.
In fencing sport, Diakassan validated her 1st round of competition this month and is waiting for the date to be announced for her 2nd round.
The final results of the academic year are here and ACFA registered this year for the first time 100% admission to the next grade. Even the children who were academically challenged last year were able to make up the gap and finished the school year with grades allowing them to pass to the next grade.
This quarter, ACFA-Mali received visits from Zeina Walet who volunteered her time to produce marketing material for ACFA. She enjoyed interaction with the children as they attended their respective vocational training and their sport classes: Taekwondo, fencing and basketball.
Thanks to their completed psychology training, ACFA-Mali staff was able to assess, assist and attend to one of our children’s difficult situation, leading to a positive outcome for this vulnerable child.
The Zorokoro Children Complex continues to be our capital investment as we continue the completion of phase 1 allowing us to support more children.
