One of the best parts about my job is that I get to mingle with the kids and hear there stories! Mokgadi is no different, I hope you enjoy hearing from her about the impact of our program and naturally the impact of your support!

What amazes me is that all of a sudden the children have become acutely aware of the your support! Its not something we push however they are realising that you are the reason that KTD196 is here and active. This recognition is really some that is new, and it comes from their hearts.

Louise and the Dream Team

It is a great opportunity to be a scout in KTD196. My name is Mokgadi, and I was born on February 22, 2007. I am a girl from the village of Myakayaka in Tzaneen. Currently, I am in grade 10 at Myakayaka Secondary School. I am a member of the 1st Burgersdorp Scout Group. I have been a scout in KTD196 since 2016. In 2020, I took a break from scouting, but I realised my mistake and returned in 2021.

I joined the children's program because I saw other teenagers going to scout meetings every Friday. I was curious about what they were doing, so I asked them and they explained everything about scouts to me. I became interested and decided to join. Now, I am a dedicated scout who is always prepared.

Before joining scouts, I didn't have a clear sense of who I was. I was that one child who was unable to stand in front of people and talk, I could not respect my peers nor their rights and feelings. I wasn't trusted, and I lacked cleanliness in my thoughts, words, and actions. However, since becoming a scout, I have transformed into a trustworthy, clean, thoughtful, and helpful individual.

The program has truly changed my life. It has boosted my self-confidence in many ways. I am grateful to Keep The Dream196 for the positive impact it has had on my life. Without scouting, I don't know what kind of person I would have become. The KTD196 scout program has been a lifesaver and a catalyst for change.

Scouting has also helped me discover my aspirations for the future. After completing my matric, I want to study to become an ophthalmologist. Ophthalmologists are doctors who specialize in eye care. I am drawn to this profession because it pains me to see people suffering from eye problems. Sometimes, I even witness students missing school due to eye-related issues. Additionally, I have a passion for singing and modeling. I envision myself as Miss South Africa. I want to make myself proud and serve as a role model in society.

In my opinion, donating to KTD196 is an excellent idea. It has the power to positively impact many lives in various ways. KTD196 protects our children. In South Africa, teenage pregnancy is a common issue, but among the scouts, there are no pregnant teenagers. This demonstrates the importance of supporting KTD196 through donations to ensure the safety and well-being of the youth. I urge people to continue donating to KTD196 so that South Africa can thrive and poverty can be reduced.

I would like to express my gratitude to all the people who have supported the KTD196 Scout program. Your unwavering support has meant the world to KTD196 and has given us the strength to persevere. Whether it was a kind word or a thoughtful gesture, every little thing you did has made a significant impact on KTD196. We couldn't have made it without your support.
