Avuxeni, Minjani? Umfekile minjane!

I want to share the importance of your support today!

I know there are many competing voices for your support, some shout, others don’t! I know that donor fatigue (that is what the non-profit space calls a declining interest and support from donors over time) is very real, especially when resources are low or even energy levels for the organization you often support wanes.

It is difficult to know, as the fundraiser, for KTD196 what is too much, and what is just enough. Everyone has a difference tolerance level and different circumstances. So I just want to thank you for all the support you have given to KTD196 over the years. Your support has enabled KTD196 to survive and continue working and impacting the communities we serve. You have not gotten tired of me or of KTD196 and for that I am very grateful.

You make the difference, you continued giving is so appreciated. I just want you to know that.

Your support is vital to the work we do. The global financial situation means that many organizations no longer are taking on partners, or are renewing contracts. Your support is becoming more and more essential. So thank you again.

Below is Khanyisa’s story and also a video for a bit of fun.

I hope you enjoy it and can really see the impact of the work we do. The confidence this child has is just wonderful, it didn’t just happen, it was carefully crafted over the years through KTD196’s guidance. And all of that because of you!

Blessings

Louise

Scouting has been a transformative journey for me, shaping my character and providing me with invaluable life skills. Before joining Scouts and KTD196, I was a child plagued by a lack of self-confidence, poor behaviour and a lack of direction. However, through the guidance and support of the Scouts program, I have emerged as a young influencer, driven to make a positive impact on the world.

My name is Khanyisa. I was raised in asmall village named Sasekani, I was known for my impulsive nature and disregard for rules. However, my life took a significantturn when I joined the KTD196. I joined their program Scouts at the age of 11, seeking to channel my energy and find a sense of purpose. The Scouts offered astructured environment that encouraged personal growth, leadership development, and community service. Intrigued by the prospect of self-improvement, I eagerly embraced this opportunity.

What kind of child was I before Scouts? Before joining Scouts, I was a rebellious and carefree child. I often engaged in risky behaviour, disregarding the potential consequences. My actions were driven by a desire for instant gratification, without considering the impact on myself or others. I lacked discipline, empathy, and a sense of responsibility.

KTD196 children’s program has been instrumental in transforming me from a reckless individual to a responsible and compassionate young woman. Through various activities, such as camping, hiking, and community service projects, I learned the importance of teamwork, discipline, and respect for others. Scouts instilled in me a strong moral compass, teaching me to make ethical decisions and consider the wellbeing of those around me.

Moreover, the KTD196 program played a crucial role in my personal growth. This program provided mentorship, guidance, and support, allowing me to develop leadership skills and become a positive influence within my community.   By engaging in activities that promote environmental sustainability, social justice, and community development, I learned the value of giving back and making a difference.

From once being a reckless individual, my journey through Scouts and KTD196 has transformed me into a responsible and compassionate person. Inspired by the values instilled in me, I decided to pursue a career in nursing. As a nurse, I will have the opportunity to give back to the community and make a difference in the lives of others.

On behalf of the countless scouts who have benefited from your efforts, I extend my deepest gratitude to the incredible people behind KTD196. Your dedication to supporting KTD196, your passion, and unwavering support have made a profound difference in the lives of young individuals, shaping us into confident leaders who are ready to make a positive impact on the world. Thank you for embodying the true spirit of caring and for being an inspiration to us all.
