KTD196 is on the MOVE!

KTD196 is on the move!

We started in my home in 2003, we stayed there until 2013, if you can imagine every piece of useable space was taken up with “STUFF”! Under beds, on top of wardrobes, stashed in spaces all over the house. The house was a typical 3bedroom small farmhouse that started its life as a one room clinic, which grew to 2 rooms, then a toilet, then a kitchen and bathroom. Till it became a typical small 3bedroom house.

Then in 2013, we moved to the house opposite us on the farm, a very small 2bedroom place but at least I could reclaim my house and drag it back to being a home.

Then in 2018, we had to move to town. We were told the home was going to be allocated to a farm worker, so out went. We found our new premises, ironically in the same building where we unofficially started with another NGO. I actually would sit in the previous boss’s office and wonder at how God had brought us 360Degree circle.

Now, earlier this month the owners of the building decided they wanted it back to put their staff offices in the building. So, off I went looking for new premises, with a very minimal budget. I hunted high and low. We were too small to be able to afford a high business office rent but we were to0 large to stay in a cramped 2 office spaced venue.

Currently we have 12staff, next year we are adding approximately 4-5 new staff for the current programs, all of which are already budgeted for, but not new offices. Then I met Tienie, an extraordinary entrepreneur with a huge heart. He heard about what KTD196 did, our achievements etc and decided to give us a whole wing of building, which he said “KTD196 can grow into it over the years to come!” The rent for the space he has allocated was given to us remarkably reduced, so much so, I started to cry in his office! I know, whoosy girl! I was just so relieved.

So, yesterday we packed the majority of our “STUFF” and Monday is moving day. What an amazing feeling it is to be growing. Those of you who have been with us for a few years will remember the excitement of the last move. Well now we have grown into a professional space and place as you will see from the photos.

Thank you, you are a huge part of our success. This is part of your story as well! Your support is enabling us as an organization to grow, to reach more children, to serve more communities, to make a huge difference to the lives of currently, over 6,000 people.

THANK YOU so much

Blessings

Louise
