Last Friday we celebrated our Annual Self Help Group Day! (SHG). Last Friday we had over 600 ladies present representing over 60 of the 80 groups we currently have. It was soooooo loud, and sooooo much fun, with the ladies showing of their best costumes, their best dancers, their best skits. The atmosphere was wonderful as they celebrated the last 3 and half years of the program.
The whole day was a testimony and a celebration to the ladies hard work over the past 12months. I have added a number of videos for you to be a part of the celebrations. I was very impressed with the standard of dancing and the encouragement everyone received. Surprisingly, although not really, we ran overtime, and the only reason why we couldn’t continue was because the audience were getting hungry, of course on those who had performed were hungry, they didn’t want to wait for the rest of the performances.
It was just so wonderful to be an honoured guest and to be a part of all the joy. I hope you very much enjoy the snippets from the videos and take comfort in the fact that your support helped make not only this day possible but this whole program.
Thank you so much for being a part of the solution for long term, chronically impoverished ladies and their families, as cited previously, we are now supporting nearly 1,500 ladies in 80 groups plus their children totalling 2,800 approximately. That is just AMAZING!
