KTD196 now has 3 Projects, because of YOU!

By Louise | Managing Director

Avuxeni, minjane? Umfikile Minjane! (Hello how are you? I am well! In Xitsonga)

I have said it before and I will say it again, I love it when donors, supporters and friends get in touch and share their views about KTD196. I love it when people take time out of their busy days to get in touch, be personal and share their heart with me. It is difficult when a conversation is very one way, which this can tend to be. Anyway, I just want to say thank you for all the support over the year.

I know the year is not finished, but I really just wanted to say thank you!

We have finished the interviews for the new positions we have opening up next year. Or at least we have finished round one. Round two is where we look outside of the organization for the necessary personnel and skills. Having fresh blood, people we can mould and make into the staff that the program needs. I am very blessed to have a wonderful management team, who come with informed ideas, skillsets that I don’t have etc. Also have a team that is younger certainly keeps me on my toes.

From next year we will have another layer to management, that of a new Project Officer in SHG and a new Team Leader with the passing of Mum Rose. Then we have the Community Facilitators and the Field Officers. I don’t know if you know that KTD196 now has 3 programs.

  1. Children’s Project
  2. Self Help Group Project
  3. Child Sponsorship Project

Each requires their own staff with different skillsets but what I love is that each staff member knows the projects work and expectations and there is a lot of cross pollination. Even though the end of the year is rapidly advancing, although tired, we are all so passionate about the work we do, the impact we achieve and the changes we see in the people we serve.

All of that is because of your support, because of you having our backs, we are able to do so much more. I have put in a link from Makungu who has shared the impact of KTD196 on her life to date, I hope you enjoy

Thank you from the bottom of my heart and God Bless you

Louise
