Well tomorrow is D-Day with #GivingTuesday.
I just want to remind you of what we have achieved with your consistent support.
We have 80 Self Help Groups supporting over 1,400 ladies of whom 70% have small businesses they are developing. They are finding their financial freedom but more than that, they are finding their sense of self and their sense of self-esteem. It has been a wonderful journey to watch some of these women who were very downtrodden and very much unable to see a way out of poverty have hope and sense of future. Its exhilarating to be around the excitement and the enthusiasm, once they get through the initial apprehension and disbelief.
We also are drawing volunteers from the ladies to assist with the Children’s Program. We have a number of new groups and over 1,200 children enrolled in the program. Next year we are going to focus on developing the Children's Program further where we now have SHG and utilize the parents to support the program more comprehensively.
I am so excited about 2025 because I know you will be there to provide support.
