Agriculture graduates usually join fertilizers companies with marketing jobs. Often they have to force farmers to buy chemical fertilizers, pesticides, insecticides etc. They know well that such products not only increase expenses for farmers but also lead to ineffectiveness in enhancing soil fertility and controlling pest infestations. Still, they did not know a way out to stop such less healthy and less viable actions.
15 agri personnel visited VOICE Trust during July - September 2015 and VOICE Team shared with them about Nature Farming interventions done from 1995 onwards. They were surprised that we could achieve 1:2.16 ROI (Return on Investment) and 3 of them agreed to join activities for increasing Eco Farming among small farmers. This was confirmed by others including Agriculture Faculty Members.
VOICE Trust has entered into an agreement with like - minded groups for direct marketing of organic vegetables from small farmers to outlets in towns and cities not only for economic gains for resource poor farming communities who are at the point of selling agri lands due to less economic viability but also for salubrious life for consumers who long to eat poison-free food products for their healthy life.
Thanks to supports from friends of earth and well-wishers of VOICE Trust in India, USA, Europe through Global Giving, new opportunities are becoming accessible in the field of nature farming with the help of organic manures and bio-pest repellents and marketing of nature products both for good health and for healthy environment. Efforts are on to invite youth already trained under Project #. 6265 to join such new ventures. It will be great success indeed.
Find attached photos taken while giving special sessions for agri personnel both in the forest field and in VOICE Trust office. We are appelling to friends of earth and well-wishers of VOICE Trust to extend more supports for this project so that state level nature farming interventions can be facilitated by VOICE Trust in all the 32 districs of State of Tamilnadu and the Pondicheery Karikal regions of the Union Territory of Puducherry.
Dear friends, Your small supports can lead us to facilitate big results. Please donate for Project #. 6265.
