11 Agri graduates came to VOICE Trust for 8 days exposure. VOICE Team explained about Project # 6265 "Bio diverse Agri Trainings to Youth" organized from October 2010 with help from Friends of Agriculture in India, USA, Europe.
Request was made to them to encourage more Youth to join Agriculture not only as a full time job but also as a valuable contribution for improving Biodiversity in Agriculture for Ecological - Environmental - Economic gains.
VOICE Trust was given an assignment by Department of Environment, Government of Tamil Nadu to start an EIDC (Environment Information Dissemination Centre) in Govenrnmetn Higher Secondary School at Siruganur. On September 5, 2017, students of Grade 11 were given a special class on need to continue agriculture for poison - free food, pollution - free environemnt and poverty - free society.
2 Youth have been sent to 1 month Government run training in FFS (Farmer Field School). Though VOICE Trust is going to face financial constrains to pay them from September 16, 2017, still, we decided to include this intervention in order to support Youth who are facing different problems in day to day agriculture. VOICE Team is confident that supports will come from Friends of Agriculture through GlobalGiving.
