AIL is presently focusing on providing assistance to flood survivors who are receiving little or nothing from outside sources. The first delivery made by AIL was of food and utensils to Afghan refugee families near Peshawar who had lost everything. AIL planned to deliver more needed items to the families but the authorities decided to move the families to another camp. Since then, AIL has identified a small area where there are 250 families, Afghan refugees and Pakistani nationals, who need floor coverings and blankets for the coming winter. Delivery was made last week and will be reported on in a few weeks.
