Dear Esteemed Donors,
Season’s Greetings!
On behalf of the Customs Health Care Society (CHCS), I extend our deepest gratitude to you—our generous and compassionate donors—for your steadfast support of the Syrian Refugees Relief Fund. Your unwavering commitment has been instrumental in allowing us to carry out life-changing humanitarian work in one of the most challenging refugee crises of our time.
A Lifeline of Support Since 2016
Since 2016, CHCS has been actively involved in providing humanitarian assistance to Syrian refugees who have fled their war-torn homeland and sought refuge in neighboring Türkiye. These families—displaced by conflict, loss, and uncertainty—have found a ray of hope through the support facilitated by our donors and the tireless efforts of our on-ground welfare teams.
Our teams have visited several cities and refugee settlements, including Urfa, Kilis, Idlib, and Aleppo, where they personally assessed the needs of affected families. Through these missions, CHCS distributed a wide range of essential relief items—such as food packages, clothing, and monetary support—offering both practical help and emotional solace to people facing the trauma of displacement and poverty.
Expanding Our Reach: 2018–2019 Initiatives
In 2018 and 2019, CHCS significantly scaled up its relief operations to respond to the growing needs of refugee families. We organized and dispatched several large containers filled with critically needed supplies. These shipments contained:
This initiative was not only a logistical milestone but also a heartfelt gesture to show Syrian refugees that they are not forgotten—that humanity still cares.
Continued Impact in 2025
Our commitment did not waver with time. In January 2025, a dedicated CHCS team visited Konya, Türkiye, to extend further support to refugee families struggling through the cold winter months. During this mission:
This winter relief was vital in protecting families from harsh weather conditions and ensuring their safety and well-being during the coldest time of year.
Looking Ahead: Your Role in Rebuilding Lives
These efforts would not have been possible without your generosity. Every donation, no matter how large or small, has played a part in easing the suffering of those who have already endured so much. Your compassion fuels our mission and reminds these families that the world has not turned a blind eye to their plight.
But the journey is far from over. The needs are still immense, and many more families await the same care and assistance. With your continued support, we can reach even more refugees, provide them with life’s essentials, and help restore dignity and hope to those seeking a new beginning.
Together, we can continue to write a story of humanity, resilience, and kindness.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Dr. Asif Mahmood Jah
