People living with T1D need support

By ARISTIDE NYOMBAYIRE | Production Manager

With the support of NCD, 30 T1D patients were evaluated for their health status. They were also given training on how to maintain their health so that they do not suffer from diabetes. They are advised to be brave and work and develop themselves so that they can find the ability to get medicine, clothes, food and not be discouraged by poverty.

Dr. Richard, who also living with T1D since childhood, testified that he has lived with T1D since he was 9 years old and is now 30 years old. Because of his self-care and confidence in his health, he has helped him to get to university and now he is a doctor.

Diabetes is a chronic disease, and patients are disposing to isolation and taken as the burden on their families, which in turn can lead to self-loathing and delay in taking care of their health.

We really thank you abundantly for your donations and request you to continue donating as it has great impact to those who are in need the most
