JOURNEY TO RECOVERY
Tahanan Sta. Luisa works with teenage girl’s survivor of abuse. Tahanan girls transferred to their new permanent home in Antipolo. Place that they called their own, where they feel the spirit of security and love.
With the help of our generous donors, staff and volunteers, Tahanan girls continuously attending their psycho art therapy to process their negative past experience. Part of their activities is gardening.
The girls are planting vegetables that produces food crops for their consumption and ornamental plants for selling. Through gardening, the girls experience this kind of regular contact with nature and develop their skills in planning, problem solving and enhance their creativity. It was also observed that gardening improve their interactions with each other and fosters a sense of ownership and self-appreciation.
