"When I stepped on stage, I felt so proud because we were wearing our traditional attire and singing in our own language!"
The children of Lunshan Elementary School in Zhuoxi Township, Hualien, performed the song “#Ocean Ludun” on the TFT Music Festival stage alongside NeciKen. For these children, this was more than just a performance—it was a cultural exchange. The opportunity to share their culture and way of life with others filled them with immense pride.
TFT program member Wei-Cheng, who has been supporting the children throughout their journey, shared:
"I hope the children remember that so many people believe in them and applaud their courage. These are experiences that schools alone cannot provide. As long as the children feel fulfilled and accomplished, everything is worth it."
NeciKen mentioned that although there was some nervousness before going on stage, once the performance began, the children’s determined and confident expressions conveyed the message: “I can do it.” This raw courage and sincerity deeply inspired them.
A heartfelt thank you to these brave children, to NeciKen for embracing different languages and cultures, and to the enthusiastic audience whose cheers empowered these young performers to share their stories with confidence.
