I hope this message finds you well. This past spring, Tennessee was struck by a series of devastating tornadoes, causing widespread destruction across several communities. Homes were destroyed, infrastructure was heavily damaged, and countless families were left in need of immediate support. In the wake of this disaster, Disaster Aid USA has been hard at work providing life-saving aid — and your generous support has been a critical part of our response.

The Impact of the Spring Tornadoes in Tennessee The tornadoes that struck in Spring 2024 left many communities struggling to recover. Entire neighborhoods were flattened, power lines and trees blocked roadways, and thousands were displaced as homes were either damaged or destroyed. The widespread damage and loss affected families, businesses, and communities, leaving many with nowhere to turn.

Disaster Aid USA’s Response on the Ground Our domestic response teams have been actively involved in the tornado relief efforts, working to provide much-needed support and to help rebuild and restore hope to those affected. Here’s what our teams have been doing:

• Chainsaw Teams were among the first on the ground, clearing fallen trees, debris, and blocked roadways to allow emergency services to access hard-hit areas.
• Providing Essential Supplies: Our teams distributed emergency relief supplies, water, and tarps, to help families through the immediate aftermath.
• Community Rebuilding and Support: Beyond the initial relief, our teams are working hand in hand with communities to provide long-term rebuilding assistance, offering the tools, equipment, and resources needed to help families get back on their feet.
