Creating a safe space for young girls through self care

By Sanam Sherpa | Program director

In a country where women's voice often go unheard, taking care of self is viewed as selfish specially for women. we recognize the incredible strength of mothers and girls. Yet amid the hustle of daily chores and responsibilities their own dreams often take a backseat.  So starting from these young girls we are aiming to create a culture that values self care. we strongly believe in the  importance of raising  emotionally, mentally and academically strong girls.

At The Small World we are thrilled to introduce our Self-Care practice for young girls. Our focus is on nurturing the minds, bodies and spirits of these young women, empowering them to embrace their uniqueness and thrive to celebrate their strength.

Through our self care program we aim to provide :

A safe space: Our program provides a safe and supportive environment where girls can freely express themselves without fear of judgement or criticism. It's a place where they can explore their thoughts, emotions and aspirations nurtured by support and understanding fostering a sense of belonging and empowerment.

Mindfulness : We practice mindfulness and self awareness through Yoga to bring balance and inner peace, to better manage and foster emotional intelligence. Our girls will learn to be present, manage stress and cultivate a positive outlook on life. This is a continuous journey of self exploration and growth.

Positive Body Image: To help the girls learn early that they are more than just their physical appearance, we help them celebrate each girls' unique beauty and promote positive body image by embracing our bodies with love and acceptance breaking free from society's limit standards.

By girls for girls

our self care course is thoughtfully designed  by girls who understand the challenges and aspirations of their peers. Together we create a space where their voices matter and they can support each other's growth.

We believe that strong, resilient and mentally healthy women will shape a brighter future for our country. Empowering girls today ensures a more inclusive and equitable society tomorrow.

we invite you to be a part of this transformative journey. Whether as a participant, volunteer or supporter your contribution matters in creating a generation of empowered young women! Together let's break barriers and build a world where every girls dreams are valued and realized.
