"Nepal Needs Your Help:

Join Us in Recovery from Devastating Floods!"

Dear Small World Community, Namaste !

We are reaching out to you with heavy hearts as we face a devastating crisis in Nepal. Severe floods and landslides have struck our country, claiming over 250 lives including 35 children and leaving countless others missing. The situation is dire, particularly in the capital, Kathmandu, which is currently cut off from all road access. Vulnerable communities, especially children and daily workers, urgently need our support.

Over 10,000 families have been affected, with many schools destroyed and covered by floodwaters. The government has announced the closure of all schools for the safety of children and to use them as temporary shelters for those affected by the devastating floods and landslides.

As a local nonprofit, The Small World is dedicated to assisting our fellow Nepalis during this crisis. We are launching a fundraiser to provide essential food, clean water, and medical supplies. Our primary focus is on the safety of vulnerable children, ensuring they can return to school as soon as possible. In times of disaster, it is often the children who bear the greatest burden.

Our Arhaus Children’s Home and the children are safe, but a landslide came within 10-15 feet of the facility. Once the monsoon season is over, we will complete the stone masonry walls to ensure the safety of our home.

We are proud to share that many of The Small World’s graduated students, volunteers, and university students will actively participate in this relief program, working tirelessly to support those in need.

Your contribution, no matter the size, can make a profound difference. Together, we can help rebuild lives and restore hope in our communities.

Thank you for your kindness and support during this critical time.
