High in the Solukhumbu district of Nepal, in the shadows of Everest, there is a place where light shines in the lives of children who once knew only darkness — Arhaus Children’s Home, run by The Small World.

Today, over 100 children who had lost everything are now safe, loved, and learning — building futures full of hope.

Why Your Support Matters Now More Than Ever

Due to recent political unrest and the suspension of USAID and other foreign aid, many organizations in Nepal have been forced to halt essential programs. Vulnerable children are now even more at risk — without education, safety, or basic nutrition.

As these supports disappear, the work of Arhaus Children’s Home is becoming more critical than ever.

With your help, we are continuing to offer shelter, education, love, and protection — especially to children from marginalized, lower-caste, or orphaned backgrounds.

Stories of Hope and Transformation Minish, Age 7 – A New Beginning Against All Odds

Minish lost both of her parents at a young age. Coming from a lower-caste background, she had no access to education or a safe place to grow up.

Today, Minish is thriving at Arhaus Children’s Home. She is healthy, smiling, and in school every day. She’s not just surviving — she’s discovering joy, peace, and the promise of a better future.

Sujata, Age 9 – Rescued from a Life of Despair

Sujata’s father passed away working as a porter on an Everest trek. Her mother died during the COVID-19 pandemic. Orphaned and vulnerable, Sujata’s future was uncertain. Her older sisters, just teenagers, were already married due to poverty and lack of protection.

But Sujata’s story is different now.
At Arhaus Children’s Home, she has found a new family, new hope, peace, and the gift of education. For the first time, she’s dreaming of becoming a teacher.
She’s not just breaking the cycle — she’s building a new one.
