Happy Spring to our wonderful GlobalGiving Community,
April will always be a special month for me. It began what we called 'birthday season' in our family. My mother's birthday opened the season on April 12th. My sister's birthday followed later in April then all the boys in May. We celebrated family every year in sync with the opening of Spring - the flowers, the warmth, the new life will always be remind me of my beautiful mother.
We would like to share this video with you in celebration of spring and my mother’s upcoming birthday. These images were filmed by her parents, Chauncey Steele and Marian Williams Steele, my father, Ed White and scenes I filmed from The Genius of Marian. I love you Mom. Happy Birthday Happy Spring!
With love and appreciation,
Banker
Thank you for your generosity, love and kindness. Due to your generous support we are able to continue to serve caregivers through The Genius of Caring site. Individuals who have created profiles and shared their stories have told us how much they appreciate the space to share stories of their loved one with others and feel a sense of community and less isolation. We are grateful our work has provided a space for caregivers and their loved ones to share their experiences.
PROJECT UPDATE
We are excited to share that we are in the final stages of editing our latest portrait of Dolores and Chuck English. Dolores and Chuck were a warm, giving, loving couple that had been together for 36 years. Chuck passed away last year from late stage Lewy Body dementia.
Dolores is very committed to helping other family caregivers, her message to caregivers: "For those caregivers out there, enjoy every moment your loved one shares with you!" Dolores believes her and Chuck's story can help others. We feel honored to have met them and look forward to shaing their portrait.
Please check our website http://geniusofcaring.com/ and Facebook page www.facebook.com/TheGeniusOfMarian/ for updates about when the film will be released.
The Genius of Caring is designed to support caregivers and to provide students, healthcare professionals and others with a glimpse into the caregiving experience. We seek to feature the wide range of family caregivers and those living with caregiving intensive diseases.
