To Our Wonderful Global Giving Supporters,
Happy New Year!
2016 is shaping up to be quite a year for The Genius of Caring. We are seeing our community expand and the impact of our projects deepen. We are thrilled to announce the release of The Genius of Marian on Netflix, scheduled for the first week of April, which will no doubt help grow this community we are building together.
We will also be adding new documentary portraits to The Genius of Caring site. We have recently wrapped production on a great new portrait that features Kamaria Moore and her mother Mary Moore. Kamaria is 30 years old and cares for her mother, Mary, who was diagnosed with Alzheimers about 2 years ago. She was 56 at the time. Mary lives in Dorchester, MA. Kamaria is her mother's primary caregiver and also receives support from other family members who live near by. The portrait is scheduled to launch the first week of May.
We are currently looking for caregivers who would be interested in sharing their experiences on the site and possibly being a subject for one of our documentary portraits. If you know anyone who may be interested, please contact us at info@geniusofmarian.com.
We are looking for ways to improve our project and what we offer to the community of caregivers and families of those affected by Alzheimer's and other caregiving intensive diseases. If you have visited the site, but have not yet filled out a survey we would love to hear from you. Your answers will be kept private, but if you wish to include your email address we will add you to our mailing list: Sure, I'll take the survey!
Thank you to all of you who've shared your thoughts and ideas about the project.
