The Genius of Caring

We are thrilled to share with you our latest caregiver portrait on The Genius of Caring. Kamaria Moore is 31 years old and newly married. She's the primary caregiver to her mother, Mary who was diagnosed with Alzheimer's two years ago at the age of 58. Kamaria talks about her experience, struggles and hope with our community. We hope you will watch her portrait and share with someone you think would be moved by her family's story. Kamaria's portrait was recently featured in an article in Huffington Post. 

We are excited to be working with USAgainst Alzheimer's to present Kamaria and Mary's portrait to our networks and beyond. USAgainst Alzheimer's is an innovative non-profit organization demanding and delivering a solution to Alzheimer's. Driven by the suffering of millions of families, USAgainst Alzheimer's presses for greater urgency from government, industry and the scientific community in the quest for an Alzheimer's cure - accomplishing this through effective leadership, collaborative advocacy and strategic investments. We are grateful for the work they do, both seeking a cure for Alzheimer's and advocating for families and those living with the disease.

As many of you know, my incredible mother Pam White, has been in the later stages of Alzheimer's Disease for this past year. On June 6th, she took her last breath and said goodbye to us. She died peacefully at home with her whole family sitting by her side. A link to her obituary in the Vineyard Gazette is above. 

We want to thank this incredible community that has been built up around The Genius of Caring project for the love, support and kindness you all have shown us over the past few years. Your kind words this last month and your grattitude lets us know that my mother's spirit still continues to touch so many.
