The Reporter is a nonprofit media organization dedicated to in-depth and investigative journalism in Taiwan. We are expanding our impact by creating "The Reporter for Kids", a news platform specifically designed for children aged 10 to 15. This initiative aims to integrate children as active members of civic society, promoting information equity, class equality, and ethnic inclusion.
We now have English Edition reports available in The Reporter for Kids ! Our featured report this month is: "Punch the Monkey isn’t the first lonely zoo animal to capture our hearts – or raise troubling questions."
For weeks, the story of Punch has touched hearts worldwide. Videos of this lonely baby monkey at Japan’s Ichikawa Zoo have sparked a global wave of empathy, grief, and outrage.
