Over the last three months, our foundation has made significant advances in serving our beloved population. As we closed the 2024 school year, we reflected on the progress made in providing educational support, access to resources, and community-building initiatives for our objective population. Fifth graders and preschoolers successfully completed the academic year, getting to graduate in November 30. It is gratifying to see the positive impact we have had, particularly in improving academic, human and performance among the young population we serve.
As we enter the new year, our foundation is plain with excitement for the many activities we have to fulfill. We are beginning this cycle with high hopes, having gained valuable insights into the challenges and successes of the previous year. With renewed commitment, we have expanded our offerings to meet the growing demands of the community. This year, we are set to launch several new programs, including new trainings and contents, mental health support initiatives, and extended after-school care with access to bilingualism, to extend the range of support for our beneficiaries.
This year we had to start in January 3 because there were many locative adaptations to make. Some parents and volunteers from different organizations like Más Humanos and Educambio helped us to renew walls, tables, desks and the spaces where we were going to receive the new students and teachers. The first thing we made was to relocate the library in our new branch from last year, also we had to relocate the arts room and the teachers room because we needed to make space for the new coming students. Something interesting for our oldest branch is that this year we are having again our library because it had become a teacher´s room since the last years.
One of the most notable developments for our school is the approximately 20% increasement in the population we serve this year, getting to complete 430+ students! The rising demand for our target population is a clear indication of the ongoing struggles faced by underprivileged families in our area and the pertinent component of our projects. This flow in enrollment reflects both the growing need for support and the trust the community has in our programs. To meet this increased demand, we are expanding our staff and resources, and collaborating with local partners to ensure that every individual we serve receives the love, care and support they deserve.
We look forward to another year of positive change, as we continue to uplift the underprivileged populations with love, compassion, dedication, and a commitment to making a lasting difference.
