It is a great pleasure to celebrate ten years!

In 2025, Fundación ABLE celebrates ten years of steady commitment to transforming the lives of children, youth, and families in Siloé, Cali. What began as a courageous dream —to build a safe, inclusive, and high-quality school for one of Cali’s most vulnerable communities—has become a reality. Over the past decade, Fundación ABLE has grown from a grassroots initiative into a cornerstone and reference of community development and educational opportunity in the area. Our mission has always been to provide inclusive, transformative, and community-based education that empowers children and youth in Siloé, promoting equity, resilience, and long-term social change. Our vision has been to create a replicable educational model where every child in marginalized communities has access to excellent education and the opportunity to thrive. Focused on Siloé, Cali – one of the most underserved urban neighborhoods in Colombia, we have served over 600 students across the last decade, more than 500 families engaged in educational and support programs, 50+ teachers, volunteers, and staff trained and employed, that is why we can say our school is a realized dream!

Last April we celebrated “La Semana de la Vida” when our community enjoyed different activities not only at school but visited different spaces in the city, we walked through a new path built in the woods, for instance. We also celebrated the ninth birthday of our school where the whole community had a great time sharing presentations, stories and a delicious cake! We also celebrated recently the Teacher´s Day with the students and the rest of the staff. We keep our alliances, this time with Fundación Mi Cuerpo Mon Krop which has been running their sexual education program with secondary nd fifth graders.

Fundación ABLE's journey in Siloé is a testament to the power of dreams, perseverance, and collective action. Together—with our students, families, partners, and supporters—we have built more than a school. We have built an ideal of hope, resilience, and transformation.

!Thank you for helping us build the school of our dreams!
