Thanks to your generosity, our teams are right now supporting communities in the tough times here at home and across the world. All of us at Red Cross are so very grateful for your recent donation.
Your support will help power brighter futures in our local communities. When people face disaster, hardship and isolation, you can be there for them. No matter what.
Your donations have helped bring support, connection and hope to those who need it most. You will know when times are tough you’ve chosen to stand with those around you. You have made a difference.
Red Cross is ready to rapidly respond when a crisis happens. We invest in longer-term solutions, reduce overheads and run our vital programs with more certainty.
For more than 100 years Red Cross supporters have been acting for humanity all over the world. Together we work to prevent suffering and ensure people can live safe and dignified lives in peace.
Because I know you're one of the helpers like me, I want to share some other ways you can support people who might need a little more community and friendship in their life.
- Hold a street summer event, bake-off, BBQ or car wash day.
- When someone new moves into your area, introduce yourself.
- Offer to help your neighbours. You could take out their bins or drop
over a homecooked meal.
- Smile and say hello to people you see when you're out and about.
- Become one of our volunteers and phone or visit older, isolated people.
There are so many crises going on in the world; some days, it can feel overwhelming. But I hope you feel good knowing you're part of a global movement of people helping people. Every day together, we do great things.
On behalf of everyone here, thank you again. We couldn't do what we do without you.
