Greetings from VPIA!
This report takes a break from our usual recap of the impact your gifts are making in the world. The focus of this report is on planning to expand that impact in future years.
Even before Covid, mental health issues in children were increasing at alarming rates. The stresses of Covid have only exacerbated the problem. Schools worldwide are searching for solutions to enhance the well-being and mental health of their students.
The Virtues Project TM (TVP) provides the “how to” that schools are looking for. When schools adopt the Five Strategies of The Virtues Project, they create a safe and caring environment where teachers and children can thrive and grow. By identifying virtues found in all cultures of the world and infusing virtues language into all relationships, schools are able to strengthen children’s self-esteem and to awaken their courage and resilience to face challenges in and out of school.
Since April, VPIA has been developing a 5-year strategic plan to provide infrastructure and a global network to introduce and sustain the practice of virtues in school communities around the world. As centers of well-being for their communities, schools will create spaces and supportive tools for experiential learning and knowledge sharing about the Five Strategies of The Virtues Project. Parenting and leadership programs will extend the influence beyond the classroom and into the lives of all who come into contact with the schools, their districts, neighboring communities, their countries and beyond.
With your continued support, we can together create a transformed world where virtues are cultivated and embraced for the well-being of all. By nurturing the well-being of children, you will also empower schools, teachers, parents, and communities to awaken and practice virtues in their daily lives.
By embedding the Five Strategies of TVP and fostering character development in schools, you will create an educational framework that promotes empathy, resilience, and positive relationships. Through workshops, resource materials, and ongoing communication among the virtues schools, you will continue to advance and protect the transformative power of The Virtues Project.
Thank you for your continuing support!
