Summary

This Children's Day, support children with Down syndrome in Mexico who lack access to essential specialized care due to limited resources. We aim to raise $25,000 USD to provide 149 children with comprehensive medical, educational, and psychological support, delivering nearly 12,000 hours of care each year. By addressing this gap, your donation can transform their development and well-being, because every human being has the right to be happy.

Challenge

In Mexico, children with Down syndrome, especially those from low-income families, face systemic barriers to accessing the support they need to develop and thrive. Public systems and society often fail to prioritize disability, leaving many families without adequate services or opportunities. Without early and continuous support, these children are excluded from education, community life, and social participation, reinforcing inequality, stigma, and limited life opportunities from an early age.

Solution

This project addresses these gaps by providing 149 children with Down syndrome from low-income families with comprehensive care. Through an integrated model combining education, healthcare, and psychological support, we will deliver nearly 12,000 specialized sessions annually. Children will develop cognitive, motor, and socioemotional skills, while receiving individualized medical attention. Families will also receive guidance and tools to support their children's development and inclusion.

Long-Term Impact

By ensuring sustained access to specialized care, this project will transform the life trajectories of children with Down syndrome, improving their autonomy, confidence, and their quality of life. It will also empower families and challenge societal stigma, demonstrating the value and potential of people with disabilities. Over time, this contributes to more inclusive communities, greater access to education and employment, and a shift toward a society that recognizes dignity and rights for all.
